The Pais Project
The Pais Project is an international youth and schools work organisation, working in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Germany, the USA, Canada and Thailand. We have devoted ourselves and our work to helping children and young people discover the truth that there is a Heavenly Father who loves them and has a great life for them to live. We are committed to serving local Church communities in reaching out to children and young people in their communities. Since Pais started in Manchester in September 1992 we have found the place to work with young people is in schools. Schools are places of education, discovery, experience, shaping, maybe even enlightment! What better place to discover God?
Our Pais Project teams offer a wide range of school activities; R.E lessons, assemblies, extended schools provision, assisting teachers, playground support, dance clubs, drama clubs, sports clubs etc, etc! Our teams all also volunteer at local Churches to serve them by helping to run youth and children's work. The Pais gap year is free to join, training, food, travel and accommodation all being paid for. Potential interns need to raise £60 a month for themselves before joining. We have various styles of teams, bands, theatre companies, sports teams, social action teams and teams for people who want to try anything!
Our motto is 'missionaries making missionaries'. We believe that all of us can be part of God's great adventure, the mission to bring healing, salvation, restoration, hope and love to everybody! We teach and train our interns how to live the life of a missionary and in turn train them how to develop the children and young people they work with into missionaries! As Pais we facilitate a network of emerging missionaries called nable. They are all school aged pupils [14-18 year olds] who love Jesus and want to bring transformation to their world.
